What is it?

UK fans of the mighty riff, your prayers are to be answered. Mindzap are proud to announce the inaugural Loud Howls Festival 2010!!! The Gaff on Holloway Road, London will play host on April 10th and 11th to the finest collection of fuzz to hit these shores since Black Sabbath returned from... their Hamburg club days with a bucket load of doom and a dose of the clap!!!!

The Saturday will focus mainly on rock/psych/stoner/classic with the Sunday given over to doom/sludge/metal...something for everyone!!!! We are plundering the finest of the UK, European and American scenes to bring you something special...some of the bands will be playing over here for the first time so it's down to us to give them a good old fashioned UK welcome.

In true Mindzap fashion this will be more than a gig, this will be an event featuring an exhibit of rock poster art courtesy of Underdog Art Company and various other surprises along the way.

Come one, come all...let's make this the first of many!!!!

Ollie is a member of the rather excellent band Grifter as well as being a regular contributor with reviews, interviews etc to sites such as Sleeping Shaman and Ninehertz.

Chris West- Photographer

Photos of The Underground is his blog and as is explained by the title Chris likes to take photos of the best underground bands around. As well as this Chris also plays drums in Trippy Wicked and The Cosmic Children Of The Knight.

Karl Keelaghan- Logo design

The lovely logo at the top of this very blog was drawn by the talented Karl. His work can be found here

Michael Cowell- Poster artist

The official poster for Loud Howls will be designed and screenprinted by Michael. He has produced limited edition hand printed gig posters for bands such as The Dandy Warhols, The Duke Spirit, High on Fire and The National, whilst also creating album artwork and other innovative music packaging for a wide selection of other signed and unsigned groups. Sammy Forway- Rock poster exhibition

Underdog Art Co. in London exhibit gig posters, acid blotters, canvases and whatever else their creative minds can come up with. Sammy will be bringing a selection of gig posters along to display and sell at Loud Howls.
